Rumours and gossips in the yachtcharter branch and in several
yachtforums caused irritations in the last months about the
idea, that sailing with a croatian charteryacht should be able
only with a croatian sailing and VHF licence, and non croatian
papers and licences would not be ccepted anymore.
Information from Croatia today says, this is a gossip only
and of course all licences, issued from official local sailing
institutions will be accepted as before for yachtcharters
in croatian waters.
The financial
crisis and the crash situation on stock exchange markets
may have very negative influence on yachtcharters
and it´s usualy schesules. Normally, 60% of all yachts are chartered
as "early booking" between October and January of the expected
new season. This year, caused by the enourmous financial insecurisations,
yachtsailors and their crews may be insecure about the further
financial development, a reseccios scenario, which endangers
their jobs an does not let them be sure to have still a job
next summer! This will surely have effects on the yachtcharter
market. We expect a strong waiting scenario and that yachtcharterers
will charter their boat pretty short before their boattrip shall
take place. The destinations, whoich can be reached by car from
the european continent will surely win in this situation: Yachtcharters
in Croatia, south of France, sailing the coast of italian Tuscany,
charter from islands like Elba, Sardegna and Sicily and Naples
may win, because
people
can go
their cheaper as a group in a car sharing costs, and they are
not so depended on booked flights. These are usually expensive
in peak holiday season times and yachtcharterers will face the
problem to pay higher flight prices, when they charter pretty
late a boat. That however will surely lead to a compensation
of costs on chartercompany´s side, because the costs of the
sailing trip alltogether shall not become higher, only the piece
of cake, each fractional service like flight, food, boat, ect.
will change and that will surely beat some boat owners hard!
Already the fact, that they surely will not be able to have
th financial liquidity very early will cause problems in companies
without enough financial power in their background.
Several german newspapers report, that german yacht-wharf BAVARIA is about to stop their production. According to the crisis on the international financial markets, it seems, as if the management is aware of less sales in the next months. BAVARIA however points to the reduction of employee´s overtime-balances. Other german wharfs like DEHLER and HANSE might suffer from the financial crisis as well, and gossips in Forums tell, that there reduction of production capacities is on schedule as well.
